COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Southeastern Conference unveiled the 2021-22 All-SEC women’s basketball teams on Tuesday. University of Missouri women’s basketball was represented by Aijha Blackwell and Hayley Frank on the second team.
Blackwell has been named to the second team for the second consecutive year. This season, she is averaging 15.3 points per game while grabbing 13.3 rebounds per game. She currently ranks second in the nation in rebounds per game while tying for sixth in double doubles with 19. She is one of two players in the SEC to average a double double on the season while leading the conference in rebounding.
Blackwell earned two SEC Co-Player of the week honors on the season. Her 332 rebounds rank third in program history for a single season and she has grabbed 15 rebounds or more in 14 contests. She surpassed the 1,000-point mark earlier in the year, becoming the 38th player in program history to do so.
Hayley Frank receives All-SEC honors for the first time in her career after being named to the All-Freshman team in 2019-20. The junior averages 15.5 points per game to lead the Tigers while grabbing 4.8 rebounds per game. Frank ranks first in the nation in three-point field goal percentage at 47.5. She currently ranks second in the SEC among qualifying players with a 52.6 percent clip from the field. She has hit three or more threes in 14 games on the season.
Frank earned SEC Co-Player of the Week honors with teammate Lauren Hansen after her performance in a win over No. 1 South Carolina. The Strafford, Missouri native became the 39th player in program history to surpass the 1,000-point mark. Her 77 three-pointers rank sixth in program history for a single-season.
