Longtime Nixa Boys Basketball Coach Jay Osborne won’t stay out of coaching for very long.
Osborne, a Missouri Sports Hall of Famer, will take over another local program as he moves to Springfield Catholic.
Springfield Catholic Athletics Director, Dan Evans, made the announcement Wednesday.

Evans tells KY3 Sports that Osborne will also help within the Fightin’ Irish athletic department.
Osborne is retiring from Nixa after coaching basketball there for 30 years.
Osborne has totaled 675 wins in his coaching career, including a state championship and a few other trips to the state final four.
His 2021-22 Nixa team finished second place in Class 6.
