SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State will start its NCAA Tournament journey in Stillwater, Okla., with a first-round matchup against No. 7 overall seed Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 3 at O’Brate Stadium.
The Bears (30-27) are making their 12th NCAA Division I Regional appearance and first since 2018 after claiming their fifth Missouri Valley Conference Tournament championship Sunday to cap a remarkable run through the event, out-scoring opponents 59-26 and hitting 20 home runs in six games.
Missouri State has regional victories to its credit in 2003, 2015 and 2017, and advanced to the College World Series in 2003.
MSU played Oklahoma State in Stillwater on March 8 of this season, losing 5-1 to the Cowboys. Grand Canyon and Arkansas are the other two teams in the regional. The Bears have never played GCU, and defeated Arkansas 6-4 on May 3 in Fayetteville.
