Greenwood fell to St. Pius X (Festus) 3-1 in a Class 1 state semifinal on Friday.
The Lady Jays got some great goalkeeping from Ellise Dlabach with this nice save early in the match.

St. Pius broke through with a goal at 14:44 by Mary Hrdlicka. SPX scored two more goals at 32:51 and 68:50.
Annabelle Sonnemaker got Greenwood on the board at the 73:58 mark with a penalty kick goal.

Sonnemaker finished the game with four of Greenwood’s five shots. Tess Fowler had the other shot for the Blue Jays. Dlabach was strong in goal with 12 saves in the game.
Greenwood will face Mid-Buchanan at 10 am on Saturday in the Class 1 Third Place game.
