Webb City volleyball took fourth place in its first trip to the final four in program history.
The Lady Cardinals fell to Incarnate Word Academy 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-12) in the semifinals.
The Lady Cardinals battled Platte County to five sets in the third place match. Platte County took the first set 25-23. Webb City answered back by winning the second set 25-16 and the third set 25-22.
The fourth set was a back-and-forth battle that saw Platte County come out on top 31-29 to force a deciding fifth set.
Platte County won the fifth set 15-11 to take the match.
Webb City finishes the season with a 32-6-2 overall record.
