SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury guard Kaylee DaMitz-Holt was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week for her performance in two games during the week of Dec. 12-19.

DaMitz-Holt averaged 27 points, shot 64 percent from the field, made 7 out of 10 three-point attempts, and went 15 for 16 at the free-throw line. The graduate student from Preston, Missouri, and Skyline High School also averaged five assists and one steal in the two games.

She scored a career-high 34 points on Friday in Drury’s 85-73 win over eighth-ranked Eckerd in Lakeland, Florida. DaMitz-Holt added six assists in the game, went 11 for 16 from the floor, 8 of 8 from the foul line, and was 4 for 6 from the three-point arc. She scored 13 points in the fourth quarter of that contest as the Lady Panthers went from leading by one at the end of the third period to win the game by 12. On Saturday at Florida Southern, DaMitz-Holt poured in 20 points, made 3 of 4 three-pointers, and delivered four assists in a 97-74 win during 25 minutes of playing time.

The award marks the third time in her career and the second time this season she has won GLVC Player of the Week honors. DaMitz-Holt won the award on Nov. 14 and last year was honored with it on Feb. 28. It is also the third weekly award a Drury player has taken home this year. In addition to DaMitz-Holt’s previous award, Terrion Moore was named the league’s Player of the Week on Nov. 21.

The Lady Panthers are 11-1, 4-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and ranked fifth in NCAA-II. Drury’s next game is Jan. 5 when they host McKendree for a 5:45 pm game at the O’Reilly Family Event Center.
