SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury Lady Panthers are ranked third in the nation in NCAA-II women’s basketball in this week’s coaches’ poll. Drury is 11-1 and last week picked up two wins in Florida with an 85-73 victory over Eckerd, ranked number eight nationally going into that game, and at Florida Southern, 97-74.
The top three teams in the national rankings are all in the Midwest Region, as Grand Valley State (11-0) is ranked number one, Ashland (11-0) is number two, and the Lady Panthers are third.
The week’s poll marks the 141st consecutive week the Lady Panthers have been ranked in the top 25, the longest streak in the nation. It is also their 79th straight week to be ranked in the top 10.
Drury is idle until Jan. 5 when they host McKendree at the O’Reilly Family Event Center for a 5:45 pm game.
