SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury guard Kaylee DaMitz-Holt scored 27 points, with 21 coming in the second half, as the third-ranked Lady Panthers won their ninth-straight game in a 93-74 victory over Indianapolis on Saturday at the O’Reilly Family Event Center in Springfield.

Drury improved to 13-1 and 6-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while the Greyhounds fell to 7-7 and 3-3 in the league.

The Lady Panthers owned a 37-35 lead after a foul-filled first half, but Drury put up 28 points in the third and fourth quarters to put the game out of reach.

DaMitz-Holt sat out most of the first half with two fouls, but in the second half took over and finished the game going 6 for 9 from the field, 2 of 4 from the three-point arc, and she sank 13 of her 14 free throw attempts. The grad student out of Skyline High School added four rebounds and three assists to go with her 27 points that came in only 24 minutes of playing time.

Alana Findley added 21 points on 9 for 11 shooting from the floor and pulled down five boards.

“The difference in the second half was KD,” said Drury head coach Amy Eagan. “She and Alana Findley spent most of the first half on the bench. We also told our team at halftime that we needed to play with more poise and patience and we cleaned up our press-break a little.”

The Lady Panthers committed a season-high 21 turnovers but forced 22, and they owned a 50-35 advantage on the boards. The game featured 65 fouls and Drury was 29 for 41 at the foul stripe, 71 percent, while the Greyhounds went 29 for 39 for 74 percent. The 41 free throws shot by the Lady Panthers tied a single-game program record.

Elana Wells had 23 points to lead Indianapolis.

Drury is on the road for their next game as they travel to Lewis on Thursday for a 5:30 pm game in Romeoville, Illinois.
