Springfield Catholic Golf Coach Frank Gallant has been named 2021-22 National Girls Golf Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations.
Springfield Catholic Athletic Director Dan Evans announced the news Thursday morning.

Springfield Catholic surprised Gallant by telling him about the award in front of students on Thursday morning.
Gallant has coached the Lady Irish to several individual and team state championships for Catholic during the last several years.
