Mansfield girls basketball rode a big second quarter to a dominant 56-37 win in the championship game of the 32nd annual Lady Lion Invitational on Saturday.
The Lady Lions managed just eight points in the first quarter taking an 8-7 lead after one quarter.
In the second quarter, Mansfield’s offense came alive with 24 points while holding Aurora to seven points once again. Harleigh Hodges scored nine of her team-high 13 points in that second quarter. Mansfield carried a 32-14 lead into the half on the way to the 56-37 win in its home tournament.
Kylee Cole led Aurora with 13 points in the win.
