Thayer left no doubt on the way to finishing off an unbeaten run through the SCA. The Bobcats capped the SCA and regular season schedule with a 74-21 win over Cabool. They held Cabool to just two first-quarter points while putting up 30.
Nine different Thayer players scored in the game led by Aidan Burns with 18 points. Easton Pitts had 13 points and Rowan Spencer had 12.
Josh Shockley led Cabool with 12 points.
This marks the 16th SCA championship in program history. It is the seventh SCA title in the 17th season with Matt Pitts as head coach.

Thayer now turns its attention to the Class 3 District 10 tournament. The Bobcats are seeking their 10th consecutive district title and 25th district title in program history. They open play as the No. 2 seed against Houston on Monday at 6:30 pm in Houston. Thayer enters the tournament as the No. 3 ranked team in Class 3. The top seed is No. 2 Mansfield.
Cabool will play in the Class 2 District 2 tournament as the No. 5 seed against host Van Buren on Monday at 6 pm.
