LEBANON, Ill. – The second-ranked Drury Lady Panthers extended their winning streak to 21 games with an 81-54 win at McKendree in Lebanon, Illinois, on Saturday.

Drury, who hasn’t lost since Nov. 23, lifted their record to 25-1 and 18-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Bearcats dropped to 10-15 and 7-11 in the GLVC.

The Lady Panthers pulled in front to a 41-27 lead at halftime, then put the game away with an 11-2 run in the fourth quarter and led by as much as 29 late in the game.

Alana Findley led Drury with 23 points and nine rebounds while going 9 of 15 from the field. The senior from Fair Grove also had three assists and four steals. Mia Henderson chipped in with 14 points and eight boards.

“The first seven minutes, I thought we were just trading baskets with them instead of trying to get stops and something going on the offensive end,” said Drury head coach Amy Eagan. “We cleaned it up and changed our press a little bit. We pride ourselves on our defense and creating turnovers and we did a much better job of that in the second half.”

The Lady Panthers forced 22 turnovers while only committing 11 and they held McKendree to 3 for 15 shooting from behind the three-point line.

Drury guard Kaylee DaMitz-Holt chipped in with seven assists and 13 points in the win.

Naomi McDaniel led McKendree with 14 points.

The Lady Panthers return home and host Illinois Springfield on Thursday at 5:45 pm in the O’Reilly Family Event Center.
