No. 5 seed Gainesville upset No. 4 Plato 52-45 to open up play in the Class 2 District 10 tournament.
The game was tight throughout with Plato leading 9-8 after one quarter. From there, Gainesville extended its lead every quarter taking a three point lead at half, five points after three quarters and seven by the end of the game.
Easton McGee and Wyatt Alms led Gainesville with 14 and 13 points each to lead six Gainesville scorers.

Plato got 26 points from Andrew Woodruff and 11 points from Graham Todd in the loss.
Gainesville (10-16) advances to face top seed Hartville at 6 pm on Wednesday at Norwood in the Class 2 District 10 semifinals.
Plato finishes the season with a 14-11 record overall.
