No. 4 seed Liberal jumped out to an early lead on Osceola before using strong free throw shooting late to secure a 58-51 win in the Class 2 District 13 quarterfinals.
Liberal led 16-11 after one quarter and 29-22 at the half. The Bulldogs extended the lead to 44-35 after three quarters.
In the fourth quarter, Liberal knocked down 10 of 12 free throws to maintain its lead. Matt Beohne led Liberal with 23 points. He knocked down seven of eight free throws in the fourth quarter. Chase Ray also scored in double figures with 15 points.

Osceola was led by Dyson Barker with 11 points and Evan Listerud with 10 points.
Liberal will face top seeded and host Ash Grove on Wednesday at 6 pm in the district semifinals.
