No. 2 seed Strafford was dominant from the outset against Pleasant Hope in the Class 3 District 11 quarterfinals on Tuesday.
The Lady Indians jumped out to a 30-2 lead after one quarter on the way to an 80-27 victory.
Strafford saw 11 different players score in the win led by Elsie Larsen’s 21-point effort. Laney Humble added in 15 points and Lauren Jones contributed 12 points for Strafford.
Pleasant Hope was led by 11 points from Kylie Tucker.

The win sets up a district semifinal showdown with host Sparta on Thursday at 7:30 pm. Strafford is ranked No. 5 in Class 3 in the latest Missouri Basketball Coaches Association poll while the No. 3 seed Sparta is ranked No. 10. The two teams met in the same round last year with Strafford escaping with a 48-45 victory.
