No. 3 seed Thayer was on fire from three-point range in a district quarterfinal win over SCA rival, and No. 6 seed, Houston on Tuesday. The Bobcats hit 11 3-pointers on the way to a 74-45 win over Houston.
Five of those three-pointers connected in Thayer’s huge opening quarter that ended with a 27-13 advantage for the Bobcats. Joslyn Tucker hit three of her game-high five 3-pointers in the first quarter on her way to 17 points for the game.

Thayer didn’t let up in the second and third quarters extending the lead all the way out to 68-35 after three quarters.
Abbygail Bowers, who hit four 3-pointers of her own, finished with a game-high 18 points for Thayer. Hadley Meyer scored 17 points in the win.
Olivia Crites was Houston’s leading scorer with 17 points.
Thayer advances to face No. 2 seed Licking at 7:30 pm on Thursday in the Class 3 District 10 quarterfinals.
