Hartville turned in a vintage defensive performance to beat Gainesville 49-20 to move on to the Class 2 District 10 championship.
The Eagles held Gainesville to just eight points through three quarters including four points in the first quarter, three points in the second quarter and one point in the third quarter.

Jaylon Cryer led Hartville and all scorers with 20 points. Payton Cogdill had 14 points.
Gainesville was led by Garrett Taber with 13 points.
Hartville advances to face defending Class 2 state champion, and host, Norwood in the district championship game at 6 pm on Friday.
