No. 1 seed Mansfield turned back No. 4 seed Liberty with a strong second half to win 46-34 in the Class 3 District 10 semifinals at home on Thursday.
The Lions led by just two points at the half with an 18-16 advantage. Mansfield extended that lead a bit in the third quarter with a 13-10 mark in the quarter to lead 31-26 after three quarters. In the fourth quarter, Mansfield put the game away with a seven-point cushion in the frame for a 46-34 win.
Balance proved to be key for Mansfield in the fourth quarter with five different players scoring in the period.

Lauren Jones had 14 points to lead Mansfield. Logan Jones was just behind her with 13 points. Harleigh Hodges added in 12 points to give Mansfield three players in double figures.
Hadley Chowning led all scorers with 17 points for Liberty.
Mansfield advances to the Class 3 District 10 championship game at 6 pm on Saturday in Mansfield. The Lions will face Thayer in the title game.
