Aidan Vaught scored 26 points to lead Crane past Billings to the program’s second district title in three years.
The Pirates held a five-point advantage after one quarter at 11-6. They maintained that advantage at 21-16 into the half. Crane’s lead expanded by two to 33-26 after three quarters. They put the game away with a 24-18 advantage in the fourth quarter on the way to a 57-44 win.
Vaught was key in the first and fourth quarters. He scored eight of Crane’s 11 points in the first quarter. In the fourth quarter, Vaught scored 13 points in the final quarter including going five-for-six from the free throw line.

Carter Hayes also scored in double figures for Crane with 15 points.
Billings was led by 17 points from Brayden Garbee and 16 points from Cale Plowman.
Crane (10-15) will face Marionville (26-2) in the Class 2 sectional round at 6 pm on Monday in Carthage.
