College Heights used a balanced attack to claim the program’s first district title since 2020 with a 55-42 win over Pierce City in the Class 2 District 12 title game.
The Cougars built up a 16-9 lead after one quarter and a 27-16 lead at the half. Pierce City cut the College Heights lead by two to 37-29 heading into the fourth quarter. College Heights put the game away with a 16-13 fourth quarter advantage.

Four College Heights players scored in double figures with Jayli Johnson and Addie Lawrence both scoring 12 points. Maddy Colin and Libby Fanning each had 11 points in the win.
College Heights (17-11) will face Fordland (20-8) in the Class 2 state sectional round. The game is scheduled to tip off at 6 pm on Tuesday at Carthage.
