Big fourth quarter helps Hollister beat Forsyth in district semifinals

Hollister broke away from Forsyth in the fourth quarter to beat the rival Panthers 64-43 and advance to the Class 4 District 11 title game.

The game was close for the first three quarters with Hollister leading 15-12 after one quarter, 21-19 at the half and 38-32 after three.

Everything changed in the fourth quarter with Hollister outscoring Forsyth 26-11 in the frame on the way to a 64-43 win.

Garrett Snyder was big for Hollister in the fourth quarter and throughout the game. He scored 13 of his game-high 25 points in the deciding quarter. Ethan Wright had 17 points for Hollister in the win.

The Tigers made nine 3-point shots as a team led by four from Wright.

Ryder Blevins had 20 points to lead Forsyth.

Hollister advances to face Logan-Rogersville in the Class 4 District 11 championship game at 6 pm on Friday in Hollister.
