Morgan Vaughn paced Seneca with 26 points to lead the Indians past Monett 51-46 and into the Class 4 District 12 championship game.
Vaughn was consistent throughout the game. In the first quarter, Vaughn scored 10 of Seneca’s 15 points to help them to a 15-12 lead after one quarter. He added four of Seneca’s eight points in the second quarter to help the Indians maintain their lead at 23-20 into the half.
Out of the half, Vaughn scored eight of Seneca’s 13 third-quarter points, as the Indians expanded their lead by one point to 36-32 after three quarters.

The fourth quarter was a full team effort for Seneca with five different players combining for 15 total points and a perfect seven-for-seven mark from the free throw line.
Cooper Long also scored in double figures for Seneca with 11 points.
Monett was led by Ian Waterman with 12 points and Jason Garner with 11.
Seneca advances to face Aurora at 6 pm on Friday in the Class 4 District 12 championship game at Monett.
