West Plains started fast and didn’t look back in a 68-28 win over Hillcrest to open the quarterfinal round of the Class 5 District 6 tournament in Marshfield.
The Lady Zizzers jumped out to a commanding 20-2 lead after one quarter and a 41-14 lead at the half on the way to the 68-28 win.

Allyssa Joyner led West Plains and all scorers with 22 points. Kaylea Dixon was just behind her with 18 points.
Hillcrest was paced by 12 points from Camryn Summers.
No. 1 West Plains advances to face No. 5 Branson in the district semifinal round at 1 pm on Saturday in Marshfield.
