Thayer baseball will be looking to bounce back from a three-win season with a group of five starters returning.
Leading the way will be seniors Mason Sorrell, Kaden Komm and Nick Gorham. Sorrell is a lefty with great movement on his fastball who will fill a utility role when not pitching. Komm is a good athlete who can play any position. Gorham is a strong athlete with power.
Sophomores and freshmen will fill out much of the roster. The sophomore group includes: Devin Harrington, Cooper Clark, Easton Pitts and Mark Spencer. Harrington is a power arm on the mound who can hit for power at the plate. Clark will play catcher. Pitts is a utility guy with good speed and athleticism. Spencer is a great athlete with strength and speed.

Dawson Harris and Colten Mills will make immediate impacts as freshmen. Harris is an athlete with good instincts in the outfield. Mills is a utility player who can catch if needed, but will see time at multiple positions.
“We will be young and feature a lot of newcomers, but I feel that this bunch might get Bobcat Baseball headed in the right direction,” Thayer head coach Matt Pitts said. “We will stress fundamentals and playing the game the correct way. We will have some ups and downs but we will continue to work and improve. The SCA will be tough as always and every game will be a battle.”
