Hartville boys basketball finished its 2022-23 season with a fourth place finish in Class 2. The Eagles fell 59-48 to Plattsburg in the third place game.
Hartville took a 7-4 lead with 4:19 left in the first quarter. Plattsburg tied the game at 7-7 with 4:04 left in the first quarter and took a 9-7 lead at the 3:40 mark of the first quarter. The Tigers led for the remainder of the game from that point.
Jalon Cryer led Hartville with 14 points. Grant Culver added in 12 points. Seven different Hartville players scored in the game.

James Braddy led Plattsburg with 21 points. Lucas Schroeder (13 point) and Isaiah Howard (11 points) also scored in double figures for the Tigers.
Hartville ends its season with a 25-7 record. The Eagles graduate Haylon Bel and Dakota Stigall from this season’s team. Hartville is slated to return 85% of its scoring next season.
