Multiple sources tell KY3 Sports and Ozarks Sports Zone that Drury Women’s Basketball Head Coach Amy Eagan will become the next head coach at Lindenwood University.

Drury hired Eagan as an assistant coach in 2019-20 under Molly Miller. Eagan was then named DU’s head coach when Miller left for Grand Canyon University.

The Lady Panthers posted an 87-9 record under Eagan during her three years as head coach. That stretch included three Great Lakes Valley Conference regular season titles and three Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament titles.

As head coach, Eagan guided Drury to three national tournaments, including a 2021 national runner-up finish. She was named 2020-21 WBCA NCAA-II Coach of the Year.

Before Drury, Eagan coached six seasons for Truman State, leading the Bulldogs to the 2014 national tournament.

She’ll take over a Lindenwood team that went 2-24 this past season in its first year as a Division I program.

The Lions play in the Ohio Valley Conference and will complete the process of moving from Division II to Division I in 2026. The 2026-27 season will be the first year that Lindenwood is eligible to earn bids to NCAA Championships.

When asked for comment, Drury Athletics Communication Director Ed Beach said “if Lindenwood has an announcement, they’ve got to be the ones to post it, send or confirm it.”

Drury Athletic Director Nyla Milleson and Eagan were both contacted for comment and have yet to respond to that request.
