SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel University director of athletics, Dr. Dennis McDonald announced that Preston Beverly has resigned as women’s basketball head coach and a national search for the next head coach has begun.
“We thank Preston, his family, and his staff for their contributions to Valor women’s basketball,” said McDonald. “We wish Preston and Danielle the best in Columbia as they have been great for the Evangel community and represented the University well.”
Beverly finished his two seasons with the Valor advancing to the Heart Tournament Quarterfinals both years. Last season Evangel was 13-15 overall and 12-10 in the Heart.
