Springfield Catholic was dominant at the Big 8 golf tournament winning the team title with a total of 314, which was 34 strokes ahead of runner-up Mt. Vernon.
Ava and Grace Tiedemann paced the Irish tying for third place with matching 72’s. Sarah Han finished tied for sixth with a 77 to give Catholic three in the top six.
The individual competition was a duel between state title contenders Marlene Edgeman from Marshfield and Emree Cameron from Nevada. Edgeman came out ahead winning the individual title with a 67. Cameron shot a 69.
Rogersville’s Emma Spurlin rounded out the top five placing fifth with a 73.
