Southwest Missouri had a dominant showing at the state golf tournaments with individual champions in three of four classes and a runner-up finish in the other class.
CLASS 4
Glendale’s Page Bowman posted a second-round 73 to tie St. Joseph Central’s Ali Perry for first place in Class 4. Bowman was one stroke off the pace after back-to-back bogeys on 15 and 16. On the final hole, Bowman stepped up with a birdie which put her in a tie for first.
MSHSAA does not break ties at the state level, so Bowman and Perry are co-champions.
Ozark’s Josey Roberts had the best round of the day in Class 4 with a 71 to rocket her up the leaderboard to fourth place with a two-day total of 150.
Catholic’s Grace Tiedemann shot a 161 total (81-80) to finish tied for 16th. Glendale’s Audrey Duvall posted a total of 162 to place 19th.
Catholic was the area’s lone team representative in Class 4 and finished seventh.
CLASS 3
Nevada’s Emree Cameron was pure dominance from start to finish of the Class 3 state tournament. The Louisville commit posted matching 67’s for a two-day total of 134, which was 10 under. There were only seven rounds under par combined both days at the Class 3 state tournament and Cameron accounted for two of them. She posted the lowest total of the field each day.
Cameron had eight birdies on Day 2 which helped her overcome a double bogey and a bogey.
Marshfield’s Marlene Edgeman had the day’s second-best round with a 70 which helped her finish fourth overall.
Bolivar’s Delaney Daniels earned 10th place with a 153 over the two days.
Camdenton’s Sydney Righter (15th – 159), Willard’s Kylee Hopper (18th – 160), Rolla’s Alyssa Joyce (23rd – 163) and Central’s Hampton Richards (25th – 164) all placed in the top 25.
In the team competition, Rolla placed sixth (740) and Branson was eighth (782).
CLASS 2
New Covenant’s Savannah Thessing made a charge for the top spot in Class 2 but came up one stroke short placing second behind Osage’s Hannah Maschhoff. Thessing shot a class-best 73 on day two bouncing back from an 81 on Monday.
Cassville’s Avery Chappell (6th – 170) and Mountain Grove’s Lauren Mallow (8th – 174) each posted top 10 finishes.

CLASS 1
Liberty’s Kameryn Wood and Ash Grove’s Rylee Allred battled in the same group of the Class 1 state tournament and came away as co-champions with matching 165’s.
Allred erased her three-shot deficit to Wood entering the day by the fifth hole and took the lead after six holes. Wood fought back and carried the lead after 16 holes. Allred had an answer with her second birdie of the day on the 17th hole to forge a tie atop the scoreboard. Both athletes shot a five for par on the 18th hole to secure the co-championship.
Wood shot an 85 and 80 over the two days while Allred went 88 and 77.
Stockton’s Vanessa Nail was the only other area finisher in the top 15 shooting a two-day total of 191 for 11th place overall. Seymour’s Gentry Denney also placed in the top 25 with a 16th place finish.
