SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – At set point in the third set of the Class 3 State Quarterfinals, the Clever Lady Jays lead 2-0. Morgan Bos has her thoughts on one thing only.
“Let’s put the ball down and go to state, that’s all I can think of,” said the Clever senior.
In that moment, the Lady Jay’s kill leader does what she does best and delivers her team to the final four. It’s no surprise to her coach.
“Morgan is our hype player,” Morgan said. “She is always very high energy. She is getting very close to 400 kills for this season. She has such a live arm I mean the ball just explodes off her arm.”
The 5′9″ senior middle hitter has made the most of her talents this season. Killing any rallies in her way as Clever never lost a postseason match. She also committed to Missouri State Beach Volleyball.
“I’m so grateful,” Morgan said. “I’ve never specialized in sand before so it’s time to get to work and I can’t wait.”
With the high stress of the playoffs, the Clever team has come up with a clever way to get loose
“We have been having dance parties in the locker room,” Morgan said. “I’d say Chandlyr (Friend) is the best dancer honestly because she is a little crazy with it. The worst dancer, is probably me.”
And when the music stops, the Lady Jays plan to dance all the way to a state championship.
