Hollister enjoyed another successful, 20-win season in 2023.
The 22-5 Tigers finished second in the Big 8 East Conference, falling to Rogersville in the district title game.
New head coach Mike Plante takes over the helm and will look to replace a strong class of graduates led by all-state honoree Garrett Snyder.
“The only returning varsity player that accumulated any varsity minutes from the 22-23 season is post player Noah Richardson (6-foot-2 senior center),” Plante said. “He came off the bench and averaged 4 points a game. How Noah plays this season will be a big determining factor of the team’s success.”

Other players moving up from junior varsity looking to play big roles and make a big impact at the varsity level this year will be Talen Rankin (6-foot senior guard), Dominic Mora (6-foot senior guard) and Braden Smith (6-foot-1 senior forward), according to Plante.
“With a new coaching staff getting a late start by coming on board to coach starting in August and all new faces at the varsity level, we have a lot of ground to cover in a short period of time,” Plante said. “But as a group, we are up to the challenge, and look forward to the upcoming season.”
