Greenfield boys basketball will be looking for leaders to emerge coming off a two-win season.
“We have several returning players that could make an impact,” Greenfield head coach Bryce Turnbough said.
Austin Pickett, Alex Pickett, Jake Julian, Nick Gossett, Marshall Dodd, Nash McGuire and River Stephens are the returning players.
Andrew Mays (sophomore guard), Owen Daniel (freshman guard), Xander Vaughn (senior post) and Hudson McGuire (freshman guard) are newcomers that Turnbough identified.

The seven returners mixed with the four newcomers will provide Greenfield with depth.
“Our team’s biggest strength this year will be speed and depth,” Turnbough said. “We will have around 10 guys fighting for varsity minutes this year and the majority of them are very quick.”
Greenfield opens the season Nov. 17 at home against Sarcoxie.
“We want to be a scrappy team that is always bringing the fight to anyone we play,” Turnbough said. “We just want to improve every day and put ourselves in a position to compete with any team we play.”
