Scott Wolf enters his second season as head coach of the Pleasant Hope girls basketball program coming off a 14-13 season.
Three starters and four lettermen return for the Lady Pirates this year.
The four returning players are senior Graci Wolf, juniors Lexi Perryman and Kenzie Bader and sophomore Jordyn Miner.
Wolf led the returning group in scoring at 6.2 points per game with 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
“Graci is our only senior on the team,” Coach Wolf said. “She has played a lot of varsity over the last three years. Graci is going to be the leader on the court this year. She is a good shooter and can drive to the basket to score. Graci is an aggressive defender and flies all over the court.”
Perryman is the top returning rebounder after she pulled down 6.8 per game to go with 4.4 points.
“Lexi was a rebounding force,” Wolf said. “She has worked hard on low post moves and is going to be able to lead us inside this year. She can also shoot from outside.”

Bader averaged 4.5 points per game with 5.6 rebounds.
“Kenzie is a varsity player who has shown much growth over the past two years,” Wolf said. “She can step outside for a jumper or score inside.”
Miner contributed 2 points and 1.3 rebounds per game as a freshman.
“(Miner) is a lockdown defender for us,” Wolf said. We believe she has an opportunity to step into a starter role. Jordyn will be one of our guards that can make a lot of things happen.”
A host of newcomers will compete for varsity minutes including Jessica Orum (junior), Madison Harris (junior), Morgan Bannister (junior), Addison Rogers (sophomore), Maddyson Alexander (sophomore), Emalie Peck (sophomore), Lilly Lambeth (sophomore), Larissa Corter (sophomore), Abby Fitzlaff (freshman) and Kara Williams (freshman).
“We have an excellent group of girls at Pleasant Hope, and I am excited to be their coach,” Wolf said. “Our team is going to take on a new look. I do not know yet what that look will be, but I do know that these girls have been looking forward to getting the season started. Two of our goals this year is to out rebound our opponents and have a higher shooting percentage.”
Pleasant Hope opens the season Nov. 20-22 at the Fair Play Tournament.
