Osceola girls basketball finished 9-19 overall last season.
If the Lady Indians are to get back above .500, size will be the reason why.
“We are going to be big and tall this season,” Osceola head coach Kim Wohlers said.
Four upperclassmen return for Osceola including Alissa Ketner (senior guard), Kyleigh Walton (senior guard), Laney Uchtman (junior guard) and Brooklyn Rollins (junior forward).
Wohlers on Ketner: “She is a great defender and leader for us.”
Wohlers on Walton: “She is a great leader for us both on and off the court. She has improved her shooting over the summer and is very coachable and willing to do whatever the team needs her to do.”

Wohlers on Uchtman: “Laney was our second leading scorer last year. She can score numerous ways and can set the tempo on the floor for us.”
Wohlers on Rollins: “She is a good defender for us and has the ability to step out beyond the arc to shoot.”
Sophomores Roslyn Snider (forward), Reanna Cameron (guard) and Natalie Gannaway (forward) along with freshmen Brynn Belisle (forward), Jasmine Bray (forward) and Lyndsey Shoemaker (guard) will also look to make varsity impacts.
While Osceola will have size, the Lady Indians will work to develop playmakers.
“We need to develop some more people who can create scoring opportunities for themselves off the dribble and the pass,” Wohlers said.
Osceola opens the regular season on Nov. 20 against Montrose.
