RELEASE – The Mid-Lakes Conference will be adding Buffalo to the Mid-Lakes Conference beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. Skyline has also requested withdrawal from the Mid Lakes Conference at the end of the 2023-24 school year.
“On behalf of the Mid-Lakes Conference, the superintendents are excited to welcome Buffalo to our conference.” Mid-Lakes Conference President Dr. Mark Hedger of Strafford stated. “We completely understand Skyline’s reasoning for withdrawing from the MLC and wish them the best of luck in their new conference. We feel Buffalo will be an excellent addition to the MLC.”
Currently the Mid-Lakes Conference consists of five schools; Clever, Fair Grove, Forsyth, Skyline, and Strafford. The addition of Hollister, Springfield Catholic, and Reeds Spring earlier this year brought the total number of conference schools to eight. The addition of Buffalo and withdrawal of Skyline keeps the conference at eight schools starting next year. The eight schools will be working cooperatively the remainder of this school year in preparation of beginning competition in the expanded Mid-Lakes Conference during the 2024-25 school year.
