Blue Eye’s defense shined in the middle two quarters to pull away for a 49-18 win over Hollister.
The fifth-seeded Lady Bulldogs led 15-9 after one quarter. That matched the total that No. 12 seed Hollister would score over the final three quarters. Blue Eye didn’t allow Hollister to make a field goal in either the second or third quarters holding the Lady Tigers scoreless in the second quarter and to two free throws in the third quarter.

Kaylee Wilson led all scorers with 17 points.
Blue Eye will face of No. 4 Fordland in the quarterfinal round at 10:30 am on Saturday at Walnut Grove. Hollister will face No. 13 Verona in the consolation quarterfinals at 1:30 pm on Saturday at Ash Grove.
