Seymour hits 12 3-pointers in win over Hurley

Seymour was on fire from 3-point range in a 67-27 opening round win over Hurley. The Tigers hit 12 3-pointers in the game.

The Tigers doubled up Hurley in the first quarter with a 14-7 advantage. Seymour had similar success in the second quarter carrying a 30-17 lead in to the half. The third quarter was Seymour’s best offensively with a 20-point output.

Wyatt Henry led all scorers with 19 points for Seymour. He scored 16 of his 19 points in the second and third quarters and knocked down three 3-pointers. Truman Helms was second in scoring for Seymour with 16 points including a game-high four 3-pointers.

Caysen Youngblood led Hurley with 15 points.

Seymour advances to face the winner of No. 6 Morrisville and No. 11 Billings in the quarterfinal round at 4:30 pm on Saturday at Walnut Grove. Hurley will face the loser of that game at 7:30 pm on Saturday at Morrisville in the consolation quarterfinals.
