Lamar offense fires on all cylinders in 83-32 quarterfinal win over Miller

Lamar’s offense was firing on all cylinders in an 83-32 win over Miller in the Walnut Grove Holiday Classic quarterfinals on Saturday. The second-seeded Tigers had four players in double figures and nine total players score in an 83-32 win over No. 7 Miller.

Lamar blitzed Miller from the outset with a 26-4 advantage after one quarter. The Tigers scored 24 points in each of the next two quarters to hold a 74-26 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Ian Ngugi led the Lamar attack with 22 points. Chase Querry (16 points), Eli Ngugi (12 points) and Alex Wilkerson (10 points) all also scored in double figures for Lamar.

Lamar advances to face No. 3 seed Seymour in the semifinal round at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 27 in Walnut Grove. Miller will face No. 6 seed Morrisville in the consolation semifinals at 3 pm on the same day.
