Springfield Public Schools has hired Frank Tristan to be Glendale’s next head football coach.
SPS Director of Athletics, Josh Scott, confirmed the news Thursday afternoon.
Tristan takes over a Falcons program that went 4-6 last season with Joel Heman serving as Glendale’s interim head coach.
Heman took the job after SPS removed longtime head coach Mike Mauk from the position a week and a half before the season began.
Tristan led the Willard Tigers to a 5-6 record last year after a pair of one-win seasons, and now gets set to lead Glendale into competition in the Central Ozark Conference.
He previously coached Division II college football at Western New Mexico University, and is a Glendale graduate himself.
