The seeds held in the first night of action in the Class 3 District 10 girls basketball tournament.
Host Seymour opened up with a 60-40 win over fifth-seeded Houston. Addison Ridenour led all scorers with 19 points. She was joined in double figures by Paisha Sturdefant (14 points), Chloe Johnson (12 points) and Katelynn Smith (11 points).
Houston was paced by 11 points each from Lacy Cavaness and Gracyn McNiell.
In the second game of the night, Willow Springs was dominant jumping out to a 21-8 lead on the way to the 32-point win. Sydney Stuart scored 16 points to lead Willow Springs. Nine different players scored for Willow Springs.
Conway’s Lauren Wissbaum accounted for more than half of Conway’s points with 18.
Seymour advances to face top-seeded Licking in the semfinals at 6 pm on Wednesday. Willow Springs will face Liberty at 7:30 on the same night.
