Blue Eye and Crane met for an instant classic on Jan. 25 in which the Lady Pirates beat Blue Eye 58-57 in tripe overtime at Blue Eye.
The two teams will play again on Friday. This time on Crane’s homecourt. And this time for a district title.
Blue Eye advanced to the Class 2 District 11 championship game with a 60-37 win over Spokane. The top-seeded Lady Bulldogs got a game-high 22 points from Kaylee Wilson in the win.
Crane’s offense came on fire against Fordland with a 28-point first-quarter on the way to a 74-43 win over Fordland. Lily Woodward scored 21 points to lead Crane and all scorers. Eight different Crane players scored in the win.
Crane and Blue Eye will play for the Class 2 District 11 championship at 7 pm on Friday in Crane.
