Top-seeded Crocker used a big second quarter to pull away from Laquey for a district semifinal win on Wednesday. The two teams matched each other in every quarter except the second quarter where Crocker built an 11-point advantage that would hold for the rest of the game.
Alivia Hayes (14 points), Emma Routh (14 points) and Lexie Ament (12 points) led Crocker in the game.
The Lady Lions will face Iberia in the championship game after the third-seeded Rangers upset No. 2 seed Richland 64-54. Alexa Rowden led Iberia with 19 points.
Crocker and Iberia split their regular season matchups with Crocker winning the first one 47-45 and Iberia taking the second 44-42. The Lady Lions and Iberia play for the Class 2 District 9 championship at 6 pm on Friday in Laquey.
