It will be an all Southwest Conference final in the Class 2 District 12 championship after Miller and Marionville both won their semifinal games.
Miller, the top seed, got 23 points from Loghann Leivan on the way to a 63-52 win over Pierce City. Pierce City carried a 14-13 lead after one quarter before Miller took a 25-24 lead at the half. Miller continuted to extend the lead throughout the game pressing the advantage out to seven points after three quarters on the way to the 11-point win.
Pierce City’s Macie Crowther matched Leivan with 23 points of her own in the loss.
Host, and No. 2 seed Marionville, was steady throughout a 60-41 win over College Heights. The Lady Comets won every quarter over College Heights. Lucy Newberry paced Marionville and all scorers wth 21 points.
Miller beat Marionville 53-46 in the regular season matchup on Feb. 13. The Class 2 District 12 championship game tips off at 7 pm on Friday in Marionville.
