Crocker and Iberia faced off for the third time this season on Friday. The two programs spilt the first two meetings.
The rubber match, and Class 2 District 9 championship, went to Crocker via a 57-50 win.
Iberia took a slim 13-12 lead after one quarter. In the second quarter, Crocker exploded for 24 points while holding Iberia to just eight points to take a 36-21 lead into the break.
The Rangers would not go away.
In the third quarter, Iberia hit back with its out big quarter taking a 21-10 advantage to cut the Crocker lead to four at 46-42 entering the final quarter.
The Lady Lions held on in the fourth quarter to claim the win. Alexis Ament scored seven of Crocker’s 10 points in the final quarter. Ament finished with a game-high 20 points.
Crocker will travel to face Norwood in the Class 2 state sectional round on Monday.
