Dadeville upsets top-seeded Lockwood in overtime to win C1D6 title

Early on in the Class 1 District 6 championship game it looked like top-seeded Lockwood was going to defend its top seed taking a 16-11 lead on Dadeville after one quarter.

Then the Bearcats chipped away.

Dadeville cut the deficit by two points in the second quarter, one point in the third quarter and then two points in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

In overtime, Aidan Jarman took over. He scored six of Dadeville’s eight points to help secure a 51-48 win. Jarman finished with 14 points. Chayse Coose led all scorers with 18 points for Dadeville.

Lockwood was led by 15 points from Hank Eggerman.

Dadeville will host Billings in the Class 1 sectional round on Tuesday.
