Norwood is back in the Class 2 state quarterfinal round for the second consecutive season after beating Crocker 65-47 at home on Monday.
The Lady Pirates carried a 17-12 lead after one quarter. The second quarter is where Norwood pulled away by using a 15-2 advantage in the frame to carry a 32-14 lead into the break. The two teams matched each other in each of the final two quarters on the way to a 65-47 decision.
Autumn Garrett led all scorers with 22 points for Norwood scoring at least four points in every quarter. Addy Gray was just behind Gunter with 19 points including going 9-for-12 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter.

Norwood (24-6) will travel to face Miller (21-8) in the state quarterfinal round at 6:30 pm on Friday. Neither team was ranked in the final Class 2 state rankings.
