Weaubleau had everything working in a dominant 79-30 state sectional road win over Crest Ridge on Tuesday.
The Tigers led 22-6 after one and 39-15 at half. Their best quarter was the third where they scored 30 to Crest Ridge’s 10.
Weaubleau hit 21 shots from two and 11 from three. Gunner Freeman accounted for five of the 11 3-pointers on his own on his way to 18 points in the game. Dawson Stewart led Weaubleau and all scorers with 20 points. Blane Durnell put up 16 points with 12 of those points coming in the third quarter alone.
Weaubleau (27-2) will travel to face Plattsburg (25-4) in the state quarterfinal round on Saturday. The Tigers were ranked No. 4 in the final state rankings while Plattsburg was just behind them at No. 5.
