Central softball enters its second season with Allison Tate as head coach looking to bounce back from a winless 2023.

Four starters return for the Bulldogs this season.

Isabella Wooliver (sophomore) will be the team’s catcher.

All other positions are not yet determined, but Tate did point to Arwen Garrison and Vanesah Applegate as two players who have shown great improvement.

“Arwen is completely new to the sport and has quickly picked up the skills and mechanics,” Tate said. “Vanesah has greatly improved in her throwing and fielding.”

Central opens the season on Sept. 4 at home against Hillcrest.

Tate said her expectations for Central softball are “to be great teammates on and off the field. Also, that they will grow in their knowledge and abilities of the sport.”2024 Fall Preview: Bolivar Softball
