Lockwood volleyball snapped a streak of four consecutive six-win seasons with a 19-win campaign in 2023. It was the most wins for the program since 2017.
Five players who saw action in every varsity set last season return.
Annie Neely (junior MH/OH) has the most kills of any returning player with 119. She was second on the team in total blocks with 28.
Kayl Banta is a junior setter who led the team in assists with 360. Amaleiya Cerrone (senior setter) was just behind Banta with 249 assists and contributed 28 aces.
Reese Whitesell (sophomore MH/OH) led the team in total blocks with 36 while adding in 108 kills. Lauryn Queen (senior MH/OH) will also return to the front row.
Bre Burton (senior outside hitter) and Kenna Holman (sophomore OH/MH) also return after seeing limited varsity action last season.
Freshman Asa Lasater (OH/MH) will look to make an immediate varsity impact.
Lockwood hosts a jamboree on Aug. 27 with Stockton and Sarcoxie. The Tigers open the regular season on Aug. 31 at the Verona Invitational.
