RELEASE – Missouri State will open the 2025 college football season at USC, the universities announced today (Oct. 2).
The Bears will visit the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to open the 2025 football season on Aug. 30, 2025. The game will officially mark Missouri State’s first contest as an FBS program and will be the first-ever meeting between the programs.
Missouri State will officially join Conference USA on July 1.
USC has played football in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum ever since it was built in 1923. The Coliseum is one of the most prolific stadiums in America, named by The Sporting News as one of the 40 best stadiums to experience college football (2005) and noted by StadiumJourney.com as the nation’s No. 3 stadium to experience college football (2014). It will also host the opening ceremonies, closing ceremonies and track and field events for the 2028 Olympic Games.
The Bears have previously announced the following 2025 non-conference games:
– Sept. 6 – at Marshall
– Sept. 13 – vs. SMU
– Sept. 20 – vs. UT Martin
The schedule for Missouri State’s inaugural season in CUSA will be announced by the conference at a later date.
